I wish my past self had this information before I started using red light. So I’m writing this for my past self + all of you who I’ve talked to about this over the last couple of months (there are a lot) and those of you who voted on the IG poll.

Honestly, I got a red light panel 4 years ago and in hindsight, I had absolutely no clue what I was doing. No business using one of these contraptions.

I remember I was following an influencer (who, shockingly, influenced me to buy one) and I just went on auto-pilot like a robot, doing what she said she did. Used it first thing in the morning blasting my face with it, before bed, every day, essentially whenever…

I’m literally laughing out loud as I write this… this still stands as one of my long time favorite memes... Ok, I digress.

But really, it was a big mistake.

Luckily, I worked with a coach last year who helped me understand my circadian rhythm more, and had a deep understanding of red light therapy. And then, in true Virgo fashion, had to go down the rabbit hole even further myself.

I was shocked at how much better I felt just from adjusting when I was using my red light panel. And, I changed multiple other things at the same time so, technically, we’re missing the control in this experiment. After much research though, I do strongly believe this created a significant difference of how I felt energy-wise — for the better.

So, in effort to make sure you’re not fucking up your circadian rhythm like I was, I’m going to share the simple and straightforward things you need to know when working with red light.
